Over on the Aurealis Awards facebook page, the shortlists have been announced. As one of the judges for the Fantasy Novel category, my thoughts on it all has to remain pretty quiet, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
I’d also love to see some statistics on it all.
As far as news so far, ‘Judging co-ordinator Tehani Wessely said that entry records were smashed again this year, with over 800 entries across the twelve categories.’

I highly encourage all to come along – I’ve only been once so far, but it was a lovely night! Everyone’s incredibly friendly and it’s a chance to dress to the nines if you like, it’s a night for Australian author royalty! At the same time it’s incredibly relaxed and an excellent chance for you to meet your favourite Aussie author and gush about their book.
